It's not quite the same thing. If men turn terrorists, it's because they are inherently violent. If women turn terrorists, blame it on social, economic oppression they face.
A Fact : Former Indian PM, Rajiv Gandhi was killed in a terrorist attack in 1991. The Supreme Court confirmed the death sentence of 4 convicts. The three male convicts were hanged, the lone woman convict got presidential pardon, her sentence was commuted to life imprisonment.

The media also treated Wournos as a hero.
I still remember them saying things like how it was men that drove her to kill, as if it was all the fault of the men she murdered and men in general because of how women are treated so un-fairly in the "patriarcal society".
I have not seen the movie they've just recently made about Wournos, nor do I plan to. but how much do you want to bet that Wournos is treated SYMPATHETICALY in that film? How much do you want to bet she's made to look like a hero of sorts, championing women everywhere against the EEEEEVIL men?
I'd bet my life on it personaly.

I remember an article way way back in, I think, Yahoo! magazine about a Palastinian woman who had lured a Israeli boy [she was 23 and he was 16] off the internet for a meeting and ended up trying to kidnap him with a male accomplis - he was shot a couple of times and died.
The article made an effort to attribute her actions to psychological damage. Her mother was quoted as saying she would watch footage of israeli terrorist attacks over and over and was so upset by it.
Though it kept it's tone gender neutral, or made an effort, it is still implied that if a woman does something like this, terrorism, murder, it's because her feminine disposition is harmed [by men].
by the way, thundercloud, there was a post awhile back about "Monster." and whether or not it blames men for her actions.

I found the post on Wournos in the "older articles" section.
Yeah, I figured Wournos was probably treated sympatheticaly in that movie.
Any more when these movies come out, I never have to see them, to guess that they are anti-man.
And Nope, Ted bundy was never given the same angle.

I've heard female suicide bombers mentioned in the Canadian news. It's not covered up. The thing is when a female commits a suicide bombing it's described as a tragedy or a new low(the bomber commiting suicide not the actual bombing)and always they mention how many children the bomber had - She was a mother of four etc.. They like to play the sympathy card, eg. that the Arabs must be really desperate to force these poor women to be bombers. You're supposed to feel sympathy for the female bomber and her family and anger that the evil Arab men and jews would force her to kill herself.
This is hardly the first instances of female bombings. From what I get from the media they make it sound like this is the first ever female bombing in the world. Femmunists across the world use terrorism and the Kurds frequently used female bombers.
