Fatherhood Does a restraining order mean that a father can not legally go pick up his child to bring him to the hospital at the mother's request? According to Justice Trevor Riley, apparently so. http://news.com.au/common/story_page/0,4057,7138499%255E13569,00.html

Why wouldn't the wife also be charged? She sought him out. She is involved in the mix yet she is coated with teflon. This is the usual sad crap of women's rights and men's responsibilities. Never the other way around.

It is a national disgrace the way men and especially fathers are treated in the family law courts in this country and also abroad.

It is a paradox that we in the US will spend billions of dollars and risk the lives of our soldiers (mostly men) to prevent foreign depots and other tyrants from subjecting us to the very same conditions and arbitrary oppressive dictates that the family law courts deal out to men on a daily basis! Our real enemy to freedom is right here at home not over in Iraq.

And always remember; more pain, injustice and misery has been inflicted on this society by self-important tyrannical bastards in black robes than was ever inflicted by anyone wearing a white one.

I'm curious as to why the issue even came up. She called him to take the child to the hospital, and to the specialist. So who got the authorities involved? The article doesn't say. The hospital? The mother? What?

Whole thing seems like complete & total BS to me.

Well, I imagine it was a set-up. Kid needs stitches, so mumsy dearest calls Dad, knowing that if Dad refuses she has evidence of him being "Cold, unconcerned, and a bad parent," and if he does, she has a technical "gotcha" on him.

Either way, she wins, either way, he loses, and the Gestap...er, Family Court System has another "ding" against a je... er, father. More fuel for those anti-male stats, baby. And more reason to cry for a few more bucks.

Follow the money, man, follow the money.

Just avoid it. Clearly, the gov't doesn't want people getting married. They are discouraging it every way they can, focusing their efforts on men for some reason. They ought to be doing more if they are going to do this to focus on discouraging marriage-mindedness in women because they are the ones who ususally want it so bad they will try to use all manner of means to get married (and also get the bennies associated with child-having and divorce).

Guys, it's reeeeaallll simple: avoding the 'M' word means avoiding lots of trouble. Period.
