I saw this in World Weekly News. A silly little tabloid that talks about vampires, freaks, and "Batboy".

Now that's goin' too far. The fembots can have their male robots, but they can't have Batboy!

Is it possible that after these robots are created, all or most of the man-hating women will utilize them fully and leave us alone? Will we be left with only the man-loving women?
I can't wait.
Good point.
I hope this technology is developed quickly. Given the field so far, I'm sure at least one of the candidates for governor of California would support funding the research and development. :)

Why do these sick sexist people get published? I can't believe what I'm reading, and this stuff is funny? You couldn't say all this sexist things against women and get published in that magazine, no way.

It will be delightfully ironic when the unsatiated poor darlings have to take their stud-bots in for repairs... by inevitably male high tech mechanics who have precision calibration know-how over the robot's "thrust, suck, and fondle" controls!
Ouch!
Another evil conspiracy of the insidious patriarchy for sure! ;-)

Wouldn't wanna be around one of those, when it malfunctioned.
Hmmmm. Then again, I might learn something.

>>>>"Talk to any woman with a significant other and she'll tell you he's uncouth, demanding, lazy, and seldom talks or offers little emotional support.
"We demand male replicas that will do everything a man can, by 2020," says Foste,"
Um, so if I understand this quote correctly, feminists WANT a robot that is uncouth, demanding, lazy and seldom talks or offers little emotional support..... :\

"About the only things we do need them for are sex, companionship, protection and to give us children."
Women *are* encouraged to seek out other women for sex and companionship. The only thing that a woman would need a "robot" man for is protection. And whether we know her or not, males *obliged* protect women in society whether they want to or not anyway. :\

That's an interesting point. I was just wondering if the robots would also be able to climb down into the sewers and drill for oil and fight the fires and sweep the streets when you mentioned this.
Assuming that these robots are computer driven and thus use logic rather than emotion to make decisions, would these robots still leap into the rivers to save people while dying themselves ( a mainly male activity)? Would they drop everything to help a female perceived to be in trouble?
Chivalry would have to be programmed into them -a difficult task since when you think about it, chivalry doesn't really make any sense.

"...men and in many ways surpass them, especially in areas like sensitivity and a lack of obnoxious bodily functions."
Since when did women get a different set of bodily functions?

Women have one bodily function that is totally obnoxious, and if you ever visit a unisex bathroom at Starbucks you'll get a whiff of it.

For some reason ... they completely forgot about the minor detail of breadwinning.
That's one that many women won't be without. Get out there a impress her, guys.

So one day we will have robotic men and women.
Amerika will be populated by robots 100 years after that. This sounds like "I, Mudd" from the old Star Trek.

If they're seriously going to make robot replicas of men for women, then they should do the same for men (making robot replicas of women, I mean). Barring gestation skills, a robot female could just as easily be created as a robot male. Why should only the women be so accommodated? Maybe because when men complain about women, we're just being chauvanist pigs - but when women complain about men, they're voicing valid and serious grievances that must be honored for the love of humanity?

I think the point of the article was that male robots are simple to program while female robots are not so that's why we can't build female robots.
According to the article, male robots only require primitive machines. Because all men are really useful is "breeding stock." Making a male robot will "take less than five years" because it doesn't take long "to come up with something so simple."

Well *ahem* since the matter has been brought up. There is a German company working on an anatomically accurate "android woman". If you are not offended by life-size human replicas (and you are 18 or older), you can check her out at www.andydoll.com. She doesnt walk about, but she does duplicate a lot of bodily functions.

Googled the alleged feminist, author and robotics expert "Pauline Fallington" -- zero hits apart from references to this story. Anyone want to bet this story is anything other than bogus?
