Legal Waiver to Protect CA Men Against Rape Charge

Humor Matthew Weeks writes "I initially wrote this article about a week ago, once the story of the California Supreme Court's ruling in People v John Z. broke, and published it on my personal site. It concerns the possible implications of the ruling, and contains a very macabre, yet humorous, tone to it. I drafted a possible legal waiver for people thinking of engaging in sex that would disavow them from any rape charges. It's made a lot of people laugh.

I don't think there is anything humorous about this! A long as you find travesty humorous it will never be taken seriously. Hee, hee...ha, ha! Lighten up, have a laugh...it's not serious. WAKE UP dude!!!!! By the way, did you think through your "consent" form idea? Really clever smart boy. What do you think will happen if your clever idea becomes policy? I'll tell you. Most times it will be neglected to be signed either out of ignorance, forgetfulness, or heat of passion. Many times it will become lost, stolen or misplaced. Imagine showing up to court without it. Automatic conviction...off to prison you go. Think before you speak!!!!

Nor is a contract valid. She can rescind at any time. Even if signed and she has sex, it will be her word against the males. "He never stopped when I told him too".

What has to happen is judges and juries have to regain their balls again. Tell these fembots to go fuck themselves.

humor points out the absurdity in a situation people would otherwise take seriously. people don't dare joke about female rape or feminists, etc. and look where it's gotten us - not supporting VAWA makes you in favor of violence against women, etc.
yes, it is dangerous to pretend a threat isn't threatening because it's crazy, but it also helps point that the threat is crazy.

This waiver is well-done.
It is no laughing matter.

I shall use it.
May save me a lot of trouble.

Will it diminish the heat of the moment?
Hah!
This is the heat of war - war against men.
We need all the defensive tactics we can get.

Reductio ad absurdium. Reducing things to the absurd.

Honestly guys, though, if we educate ourselves, and start insisting on such forms, waivers, pre-nups, and the like, we will have a collective sigh of womyn and a wish for the "return to the halcyon days of yore, when spontanaiety and passion ruled, and romance blossomed." Then we can tell them, "Want it back? Change the law. Ya'll lobbied for this, lobby to turn it back."

Volley ... and back in their court....

It is an idea. And - it's a lot easier for you to find a hooker than for her to find a gigolo. Cheaper, too.
