"The study of why men are bad. Where have YOU been?"
Cute.
Here I have something on gender studies, that the feminists will just love.
""Radical feminists such as those found on the MS. boards are the true enemy(not patriarchy or whatever) of sensible feminists. After reading the NOW and MS. boards for a while I've started to sort them into types. If I fail to mention one please feel free to add to it.
The 45-60 year old academic radical, usually studying or teaching gender or women's studies at some obscure liberal arts college. Intelligent but insane. These women are usually lesbians, not that there's anything wrong with that.
(Its my opinion that the former are "predators" of the next group here.)
The 16-22 y/o female student. Almost always the daughter of well-to-do parents. Well intentioned but confused.
The 25-45 y/o female overweight and penniless victim. Hated by most folks in the real-world for whatever reason. Tends to congregate with other victim types. Often highly resentful to men for their lack of attention to her.
The 25-35 y/o male feminist. Plagued by severe emotional problems, hated by other men and not accepted by other feminists. Usually undergoing male to female gender switch.""

Dan's radfem typology includes:
The 25-45 y/o female overweight and penniless
victim. Hated by most folks in the real-world for
whatever
reason. Tends to congregate with other victim
types. Often highly resentful to men for their
lack of attention to
her.
This type (I would include the professionally disabled and congenitally ugly) sometimes goes
the other way and can be found hanging out around
men's rights sites. This is probably a mating
strategy.
cheers,
sd Those who like this sort of thing
will find this the sort of thing they like.

"God what a sexist bunch of pigs you are."
Really, wait till you see what jane fonda herself did, then come back and tell me whose sexist.
How much evidence do we have to put forward that Feminists are the ones creating an extremly hostile envoirnment that is ultimately hurting both sexes??

Thanks Adam, I wonder where our anon user is now, on her "you guys are sexist" rant.
I can see that Jane denied her draft obligation to protest the war, risked jail and wasnt allowed to go to school etc.. So see she had good nerve to do what she did, god bless her.
Ya, right. MAN, that woman should be charged with treason, she handed over pertinent information to the enemy. It doesnt matter what the note said, but it was a 'comuniqua' intended for the US. The only reason she did what she did was to blanket demonize (for lori) men. I wonder what she would do about the draft is she was obligated.

I found the article regarding hanoi jane in my email, but I'm not sure how to post it since it was sent to me as an attachment sans URL. If anyone knows how to post email attachments, I would appreciate the feedback for future reference...

Ahhh, isn't that sneaky. The name change from Women's Studies to Gender Studies must have been intended to make the former sound more objective and unbiased. It sounds like a very euphemistic term.
If only this "Gender Studies" devoted half its effort to focusing on men's issues from a perspective sympathetic to men.
Yeah, right.

I actually would not care if it was sympathetic to men or not as long as it was honest. I would be halfway happy if they stopped the misuse of disproven and non-peer reviewed statistics for areas such as rape, education, wages etc.
Until women's studies can do an honest job examining women as a gender I do not want them dipping their hands in to the examination of the male social role. Tony
