U.S. Air Force Explains Fitness Test Standards

News Captain Pistachio submitted this article from U.S. Air Force News and writes "With all the recent articles about male/female double standards in the military I thought this might be Illuminating." The article is two years old, but it is enlightening because it states that men and women have the same standards for crunches (based on age instead of gender), but that women have lower standards for push-ups (based on age and gender).

The tables on "Number of push ups" by gender are illuminating.

It only goes to show: In the United States Air Force as a womyn you don't even have to be half the man of a male to get the same credit.

Nothing like diddling the numbers to get more token females in there.

Maybe if and when a woman can ever do a man's work she'll get credit for it.

The article was 2 years old, but these are the same standards we're using this year (although the sit-ups/crunches are just "goals" til next year).

A blues song.
This shows women want - what men can do without being able to do so. All women want is everything. Try divorce we pay they take again.
Same thing.

Poor things.

Geez, when I was in jazz dance class we were required to do 20 push-ups [no silly female ones] and about 100 crunches, though I didn't time those. You'd think a branch of military would have a little higher standards. :P
