'Sports radio host Michael Sorce, who goes by the name Don Geronimo on air, was fired by WBIG-FM on Sunday following sexist remarks he made toward a female reporter at Washington Commanders training camp.

While speaking with co-host Crash Young, Geronimo made several offensive comments about WUSA9 Washington D.C. reporter Sharla McBride, including shouting, “Hi, Barbie girl” as she walked past him.

iHeartMedia is the parent company of WBIG-FM, which signed a three-year partnership with the Commanders in 2022.

“After an internal review, Don Geronimo is no longer an employee of WBIG,” iHeartMedia’s D.C. Region president Aaron Hyland said in a statement to the Washington Post. “We take matters of this nature very seriously and this behavior does not align with our core values.”'

'The United Kingdom is considering sentencing reforms which would provide a legal defence to victims of domestic violence who harm or kill their perpetrators after being subjected to sustained abuse.

The proposal comes in the wake of an independent review into the adequacy of the way in which domestic violence complainants are treated in the criminal justice system, including whether current protections are sufficient to reduce the endemic problem of domestic abuse in the United Kingdom and provide justice for victims.

One of the reviews conclusions was there needs to be greater consideration of the mitigating factors and ‘special circumstances’ in cases where a victim kills their abuser after suffering prolonged and sustained abuse.

'Andrew Malkinson was jailed in 2004 for the attack on a woman in Salford, serving 17 years in prison for a crime he always said he did not commit.

His case was referred to the Court of Appeal in January after new evidence pointed to another potential suspect.

Mr Malkinson, 57, said: "I was innocent and finally they listened."

"But I have been innocent all along, for each of those 20 years that came before today," he said.

"It has taken nearly 20 years to persuade my kidnappers to let me go."

Overturning his conviction, Lord Justice Holroyd said Mr Malkinson could "leave the court free and no longer be subject to the conditions of licence".

According to a recent Politico/Ipsos poll, 36% of Americans believe "entertainment and culture make it hard to feel proud to be a traditional guy." Similarly, 31% believe the Democrat Party is "hostile" to masculine values.

"It's pretty clear that the media views masculinity in only two ways: stupid or toxic," comedian Tim Young told Fox News Digital. "Like Barbieland, the concept of equality between men and women according to the media is fictional - and where there could be a chance to have everyone get along, their spin on things is to be divisive and put down men."
