National Groups Want Judge In GED Case RemovedHere's some more information on the father in jail because his daughter failed the GED. Excerpt: "There's a new development regarding a Butler County juvenile court judge's controversial ruling. Judge David Niehaus sentenced Brian Gegner to six-months in jail because his daughter didn't get her GED. Two groups, the National Coalition of Free Men, and the California Alliance for Families and Children want the judge removed from the case." |

Where Is Ohio?
Why does an out of state human rights organization (their goals I support by the way) have to bring to the attention of the nation this obvious abuse of judicial powers? Where is the outrage in Ohio where this crap happened?
Is this even a crime?
Is it even legal to jail or fine someone for that? I've never heard of the crime of "your child failed to get a GED". I'm unfamiliar with the criminal code in that jurisdiction, but perhaps this judge is incompetent and should get disbarred and then the local government should be made to pay damages to this man. I hope that this story continues to generate national and local outrage as an example of the prosecutorial and judicial system gone out of control.
