Local Fathers' Activism Heats UpLocal Fathers' Activism Heats Up "Caring people attempted to offer a small antidote to the abusive and vilifying ways that gender feminists and local politicians poisonously treat good Fathers (and men). Far too many Dads have entered the beat dead Dads’ graveyard, but with dedicated efforts to focus attention on the issues facing Fathers and men, activists are hopeful of changing the despicable way good Fathers (and men) are being routinely abused in Los Angeles (and American) society."

Man, if men could hold an
Man, if men could hold an event like this in every city, then the word would start to get out about mens/fathers rights.
Thanks, have a picnic if you get a chance, to get the flavor
We're trying to make it Father/man friendly. The basic is too have a picnic/barbecue with a few basic signs like: We honor Fathers, A Father's Love is Irreplaceable, Kids Need Both Parents.
If all people have to do is sit down and have a burger and enjoy the outdoors, it's much easier to get together.
It only takes a couple of dedicated people to pull this off.
We've been doing this for a year next month and only missed one time because of a heavy downpour in January. We plan to keep doing it. After all it's just a matter of having a picnic and putting up a few tents and signs. :-)
Okay, we get a little more involved than that, but we're trying to go the extra yard to get the message out.
The most amazing thing about these events is the people who are driving by, who stop and talk to us. We are now doing a 2nd location in Torrance and it's the same thing. There are a lot of people out there who've been screwed over by the courts and are fed up, but they are also apathetic and beat up as we know.
The more we are seen, the more we are known.
Fathers' and men's issues need to become mainstream in our society and to become mainstream we need to become commonplace in our society - hence the picnic/rallies. Consequently, we hope to do it some more.
Positive
Keep the signs positive and friendly so that this kind of event will spread like wildfire (hopefully it'll end up in Houston so I can help).
