On YouTube: Marc Rudov Debates O'Reilly

Rudov has entered prime time. Many hate O'Reilly but he does have the highest rated show within the 8-9PM time slot. There has been some debate between myself and other MANN contributors in regards to Rudov. I need to state that I definitely feel he is an MRA ally. Clip here.

At this point I'd have to say he's a definite asset. The only qualm I have is that some times he really gets worked up, which is bound to cause some viewers to be put off. For example, it will give women, both honorary and by birth, an excuse not to listen to "another one of those nutty MRA's". Then again, like all thinking men these days, he has a right to be angry.

One other thing is that he comes up with some strange ideas, like that "a woman is a prostitute" (his exact words) if she lets a man pay for a date (for her dinner or whatever). But at other times he has said, "well, the person who did the asking out should pay, as a matter of courtesy..", and said that he was only referring to a blind date when making the earlier statement. Even in that case I wouldn't call a woman a prostitute based on one date..prostitutes do it for a living (for example, women who want the man pay every time; or real prostitutes, whom these days, I'd probably rather go out with. Even if some are feminists, when they're with a customer, they should do a good job of pretending they aren't anti-male).

I think Rudov is worthy of the Nobel Prize for the writing he's done, as well as the way he spreads awareness of the misandry in the world. He has a fine way of telling it like it is and inverting double standards to make people see the light. The world could use more people like him.

Marc used to be all about how to get pussy in his silly first book... "The Man's No Nonsense Guide" yadda yadda whatever...

He has evolved and now he is actually speaking about the lies of feminism.

Marc got me banned a long time ago, when I called his bluff, and I still can't post on that site.

There should be some form of amnesty for MRAs, since it is going to be a decades long movement, and you never know who your friends might turn out to be....

I heard Marc when he called into the Howard Stern Show. It was a nice, reasonable debate by the people on both sides of the issue, and no side was forced to be overly defensive.

Check out the archives on his web site. In one debate, he is actually spinning in his chair. In another one, on a radio show, a lady called in, and the first words out of her mouth referred to Rudov as a "pig". From that point onward he sounded extremely pissed off, and would not even let her say one more word.

In all fairness he was under a big-time attack during the first debate mentioned above, and he held up pretty well. He should probably just tone it down a little, athough as mentioned he has a right to be angry. Besides, Lis Weihl, (Rudov's usual opponent on the weekly debates, with Cavuto hosting) vents off a lot more steam than Rudov does. She starts shaking her head in anger even befor the introductions are made. Watch her - she's hilarious :-))

I think that Marc is agreat spokesman for the mens rights movement, he may get a bit peeved at times, but he must feel that he is banging his head against a wall trying to debate Lis, she drives me nuts and i am not even the one she is trying to talk over.
Kudos to him, hope he continues to help get our message to a wider audience.

The only difference between evil men and holy men is that evil men do it for their own glory...

...actually has the courage and conviction to stand up to women should and shouldn't be doing?

*Sigh*

I'll pass on this one...again.

Mr. Rudov, excellent job as always.

No matter what we don't like about Marc Rudov, his positives way outweigh any negatives anyone can whine about. He is good. Damn good. Every so often I think of things I thought he could have said that might have been better. So what! More times than not, he is faster on his feet and a better debater than anyone else I've seen.

I have yet to see any women whine and cry about how feminists are too bold and angry, so they are hurting the feminist movement. When was the last time we saw anyone criticize women for so quickly reaching for and using the "misogynist" accusation, other than Marc, and doing it effectively, such as he did on the Bill O'Reilly debate.

Any woman who turns us off because we are angry would have turned us off anyway, for one reason or another. Are we men not allowed to get angry when being screwed?

I think anyone here who can do the job better, should!

P.S. His general stance is that on a blind date, the date should be "Dutch". In other cases, whomever asks out should pay. After a man asks a woman out and pays, she should ask the man out and pay on the second date, not wait for him to ask her out and pay again. If she does that, he drops her. The relationship should be reciprocal and both should contribute to it's maintenance and success. Isn't that the equality women have been supposedly crying for all this time?

As far as the prostitute assertion, if the shoe fits.... Coming up with technicalities to disprove the assertion doesn't disprove anything. The bottom line is that most men are paying for sex, no matter how we sugar-coat it. How much sex would we men get these days if we refused to pay for the woman's date? Or would that remove all the "romance" in the woman's eyes? How many women say that the man paying her way (treating her like a child) makes her feel more like a woman? Give me a break! It's that perception that needs to be changed. It should make them feel more like a child or prostitute. Only children should be "taken out".

The award for being "politically incorrect" when it comes to mangina-ism and feminist dogmatic prose goes to Dittohd.

However, that award also bestows the "you are absolutely right" honor when it comes to actual reality as opposed to pro-female, chivalrous ideology.

Lis Weihl is the poster girl for every cliche about dumb blondes.

All about pretend emotions and faux-outrage and cuteness and hair-flipping complimented by zero logical thought processes.

After watching Lis "debate" Marc on the web, my 19 year-old daughter, a well-educated natural blonde who follows MRA issues, was so offended that she became a brunette.

Something's screwed up. Everytime I try to click inside the reply template for your latest comment or hit the Enter key, I get switched to your "The Women Are At Fault" page. Screwy.

Anyway, this is my reply to your last post:

Title: Wow! I'm Famous!

Body: I clicked on your link above and was surprised to see you reposted my last comment. Thanks for that and the award. And you even spelled my name right. Ha! ha!

I was also surprised to see your post about persons who try to straddle the fence between MRA's and feminists, like Glenn Sacks. I agree with you 100%. Trying to get along with these irrational, castration-happy lesbian-feminist (in most cases) women will do nothing for our movement (IMHO). No matter what we say, feminists will never soften their stances or agree with any of our goals because they will all "set women back".

Here I will repeat the very first sentence in this thread:

"At this point I'd have to say he's a definite asset"

What exactly is the problem?

People are free to point out as many weaknesses as they want. Cry me a river. No MRA is perfect.

I tried to reply to your previous and latest comments and the same thing happened both times.

I switched from Firefox to Internet Explorer and no longer had that problem but then couldn't place the cursor anywhere other than at the beginning of the template box I was in.

Funny that I don't have these troubles when I reply to my own posts, like this reply and haven't had this problem before.

Let's see. I'll try replying to someone else's post.

I just tried to type a reply to XTML and had no problem. I didn't post it but I had no problem in typing or moving the cursor where I wanted.

I wonder if anyone else is having trouble posting replies to your posts. Am I the only one? I don't see where anyone else has tried to reply to your posts on this thread.

I had the same problem responding to Mr. R. He must have left a dangling html tag or something. The way around it is to respond to someone else's comment, or to click on "new comment" under the main topic.

See, the thing about this board is that it really doesn't matter who you click on, they all get posted the same way. I think the only exception is if you click to reply to someone else, and do not enter anything in the subject field, then when it gets posted it might say something like "Re: [Whatever their subject line said]" on the subject line of your reply.

Correct me if I'm wrong anybody.

I already found out from experience that this software won't accept either a blank subject or a blank comment in the body.
