'The pictures showed a smiling, overweight Rose West strolling into a cell which boasts a TV, DVD player and stereo.

Curtains hang across the window, while shelves hold books, pictures and cards from well-wishers.

She is also reported to have access to a sewing machine and embroidery kit, and to have the run of Bravo wing at the prison, where she works loading and unloading washing machines in the laundry room.

Yet those still in contact with her say that, far from showing contrition, she still maintains her innocence and even believes she, too, should be counted a victim - not just of her husband Fred but also of an "evil" Establishment conspiring to keep her locked up for the rest of her life.

This poor woman is being treated unfairly. Doesn't she also deserve satellite television? What about Alaskan crab legs for dinner? A daily massage might also be fair. And what kind of society would not offer this murderess a water bed? Why is she not getting a weekend pass to attend the Super Bowl? Maybe the NFL will let her do the coin flip. The judicial and prison system is so unfair to women! It makes me sick!

It seems all female criminals, including serial killers, always try to blame a man for what they did (Maybe they take after feminists who try to blame men for every single imaginable problem, even the self-inflicted ones). I hate to break it to them, but unless the man they refer to had a chip installed in their brain which gave him full control over what they did (like in a soap opera), he's not the one to blame for the evil committed. Granted in this case the man she's trying to blame was also a murderer, but he certainly was not responsible for murdering the people she did.
