Texas Woman: 'I Just Killed My Babies'

'SAN ANTONIO — A 22-year-old woman stabbed her two young sons to death, then calmly held her wrists out to police officers who arrived at her home and said "I killed my babies," authorities said.

Elyse Marsyl Colon was being held Wednesday on two counts of capital murder of a child in the deaths of her sons, 3-year-old Jose Luis Garcia and 1-year-old Guillermo Garcia. Her bond was set at $2 million.

"Words can't describe the scene," San Antonio police Chief William McManus said. "It was unspeakably sad."

Colon was waiting outside her home when officers arrived Tuesday evening and put her hands behind her back as they approached, police said. When an officer asked "What happened?", Colon allegedly responded with, "I killed my babies."'

So dad's in jail likely for trying to save his kids

"Public records show that Luis Alonso Garcia, who lived at the same address, was arrested in September for illegal entry and for family assault, a third-degree felony. More information was not immediately known."

So she told police she wanted the children's father to know she murdered them and the whole reason he is in jail to begin with is breaking into his own home and assaulting her. Gee, maybe he was breaking in to get his kids away from their violent mom and hit her in self defense and she called the cops. He's in jail for DV, but she slaughtered the children ALONE WITH NO ACCOMPLICES (read no man made her do it although she'll argue that his being in jail caused her to not be able to handle the kids alone even though she put him there). I wonder who the really violent sadistic one was. Why would the second thing she told police after admitting she killed the children was to make sure and tell their father? Sounds like a vindictive person trying to inflict the most pain possible on their ex-lover.

The sad thing is, this is Texas we're talking about so he'll probably still be rotting in prison after she's been trialed, sentenced and released.
