13-YO Girl Recants Gang Rape Allegation
posted by Matt on 01:16 PM May 7th, 2006
False Accusations Anonymous User writes "Here we go again, another female recanting a gang rape charge. This girl lied to Illinois police claiming she was raped by a group of seven teenage boys last month in an apartment complex laundry room.

Of course, the police are not even bothering to charge her with filing a false report. She gets "counseling" while the boys will get a permantly damaged reputation. The sad part is that we still do not know the accuser's name. When are we going to start punishing females for heinous actions like these?"

Maybe I don't understand what you are stating. None of the names (male or female) are published, and they shouldn't be because they are all minors. Do you really think the name of the 13 year old female should be published? I'm all for having more stringent penalties for making false rape accusations because of the seriousness of the crime, but only if the false accuser is an adult or can be charged as an adult. I also think the rape shield laws need to be re-worked or eliminated, but not in the case of a 13 year old.

Have to agree with you, Tumescent. The names of minors should never be released, regardless of the issue. There's some seriously dysfunctional psychology at work in this case, and treatment does seem like a reasonable move for the girl involved since having sex that many times with that many men is to say the least, a health risk at any age, and would seem to indicate some sort of self-worth issue or a history of prior sexual abuse, just as it would in the case of a boy engaging in anonymous hypersexual behavior at that age.

As for the boys, I agree that the one "adult" should be held accountable for having sex with a minor. The others, many of them minors themselves, participated in a consensual sexual encounter, albeit a bit prematurely for our society's tastes. What sort of counselling will they receive for what amounts to an extension of natural human curiosity when no violence or coercion was involved? What, exactly, did they do wrong? I find their actions distasteful and self destructive, but not aberrant or criminal. I certainly hope it's something that benefits them and not feminist ideology (i.e. cognitive-behavioral therapy, etc., and that only if required in the opinion of the psychological experts and the boys' guardians), and isn't just the usual androphobic brainwashing about how evil heterosexual sex is whenever any contact with a female is involved.

Speaking of which, I watched an episode of "Huff", (an HBO series) last year and the disturbed, misandric wife/mother character is quite supportive of the son character when she thinks he's had sex with other boys, but screams at him, verbally and physically abuses him and ultimately punishes him when it turns out the sex was with a female, because he was clearly "exploiting" whoever the girl was (when she freely consented to legal sexual activity). The same act at the same age was OK, according to pop culture, when it was homosexual and a girl wasn't involved, but is "exploitation" when a girl IS involved. What sort of twisted, misandric messages are we sending to young men? Why aren't they entitled to the self-esteem the feminists claim is so precious for young women? The only people I've heard of that have enough self-esteem to please the feminists are serial killers and genocidal dictators!

As you might have guessed, I stopped watching HBO right then and there. The androphobia and misandry was nauseating.

Again, I hope that what they have in mind isn't feminist ideological conditioning, verbal abuse and character assassination when it comes to "treating" these boys (consider that up to 20% of young men are sexually abused), but I can only fear the worst, given the hideously misandric climate we live in. It's a sad situation, but I'm relieved that the girl had the sense to admit that her accusations were false and is going to receive treatment.

The 17 year old that was involved will suffer, and be branded as a sexual predator for life. Everyone else will get off with counseling, except for the 17 year old. He had sex with a consenting minor, who also had sex with 6 others at the same time. She obviously has some self esteem issues, and was seeing a shrink before the incident. Young Men should be taught in our school systems how twisted our laws are in regards to Human behavior, specifically towards the behavior of Men. All of the Children have been ordered to take counseling, I wonder if the "system" will actually "punish" the 17 year old? The way our current system works they all will be put on some sort of mood altering drug and sent home after re-indoctrination. The tone of the piece was sympathetic towards the Girl, but what about the Boys that were accused of rape, and entered into the system as rapists? EQUALITY/Humanity, perhaps someday we will be afforded these "supposed rights" in our daily lives, you think? "It is a good day to die!"
