"Institutionally Racist"? Or is it more like "Institutionally Sexist"?
posted by Matt on 02:24 PM January 27th, 2006
The Media The entire matter of the sexes of the two young victims in this case has been entirely ignored. Had the victims been boys of any ethnic background, I have no doubt the story would not have made headlines in the UK, and wouldn't have here in the US either... or Germany, Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain, Belgium, or... you get the idea.

Amazing the level of denial going on here, isn't it?

The article brought out some good points about racism, and the posting here brought up the other not mentioned problem of sexism. It probably would not have made the news if the victims were Boys, as women in those positions of power usually don't care about Males. But let a young Girl have something happen to them and watch out. It makes me ill, literally when I think about the blatant ignorance of these women that think that one gender is any better than the other, how deluded. Children of either gender are Children, and should be protected by society regardless of what gender they may be. It just shows how sick these type of women are, because they have Boys as well, talk about living with the enemy!
actually, sexism is mentioned.. (Score:1)
