Female Wrestler Arrested as Most-Wanted Murderer in Mexico
posted by Matt on 01:31 PM January 26th, 2006
News It seems the most-wanted serial killer in Mexico is believed to be a female wrestler. Read it here. All the victims also appear to have been old women. Innocent until proven guilty, I say, so wait and see what happens. Of interest to those who wonder about "gender blinders," look at the denial in action:

'Mexico City prosecutors said fingerprint evidence linked Ms Barraza to at least 10 murders carried out in recent years. She was arrested at the scene of the killing of 82-year-old Ana Maria Reyes on Wednesday in the Venustiano Carranza area of the capital.

After reports that a woman had carried out the killings, police suspected a man in woman's clothes.'

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt: she's a wrestler, and therefore likely has a larger, more masculine build. I'm not sure I buy it, but...

I will say that I am glad that they caught her, and I will say that I am glad that she chose Women instead of Men. Now they can't claim that she was some poor abused Female that was striking out against the evil Male horde. Maybe she was abused by an older Woman in her youth and was acting out her deepest fantasies? Or, maybe she is just a self serving Female that prayed on the weekest victims she could find? Either way, she is off the streets, and on her way to "justice" south of the border. It would seem that strength was a factor in how she killed her prey, and her large build, could lead investigators to believe it was a Man in drag. Regardless, they did arrest her. Now let us see what they give her.

To which US state was she extradited?
Depending on which she could well get off easier than a man in a similar circumstance, especially if she can find a man to blame.

Well, it seems, according to this article than a man is ultimately to blame.

The contrary would have been surprising.

Naw, she hated her mum for giving her away, or sold her to a pervert. Either way her mum was the guilty party. I bet she was coached by an attorney to say she was sexually molested as a child, that usually brings sympathy from a jury. It will be interesting to see what she gets in the end. They don't give death down there do they?
