Interesting Twist in a Rape Trial
posted by Matt on 09:44 PM December 3rd, 2005
False Accusations Tumescent writes "Here is an interesting story about an unusual ruling in a rape case in Oregon where the tables were turned. The males in the case were on trial and were acquitted and the woman was then charged and convicted of filing a false police report. This is the second time this has occurred in Oregon recently and it may be show a trend in acknowledging that false rape accusations occur and should be dealt with."

"Of course, I'm all for harsh penalties for convicted rapists and I'm not suggesting otherwise, but given the seriousness of a rape accusation, false reporting of rape should be dealt with seriously as well, Of course, the males standing trial, if convicted, faced at least 7 years in prison and a lifetime labeled as a sex offender, but for filing a false rape report, her maximum penalty is 30 days in jail and a $1,250 fine. To access the story you might have to truthfully or untruthfully enter a date of birth and your gender."

Sadly, the men were charged with a felony and the woman a misdemeanor.

Sadly, the incentive to lie for women is still lucratively there.

This does help, but at this point a much stronger message needs to be sent to the misandrist vengeful bigots targeting innocent men.

Make a false accusation, such as the one in this story, a felony and a hate crime.

All the quotes are either from law enforcement or from "victum's advocates". Not one word from the men accused, their families, or a MRA. Also notice that despite the fact that they charged her with filing a false report, which means they think she's lying, she's still refered to as a "victum".

And then there's the usual pulled-out-of-the-ass figures like "only 10% of sexual assaults are reported" and "only 3% are false claims". I'm surprised they missed the old chestnut of "1 in 4 women will be raped".

Not just charged ...convicted and still calling her a victim. The only thing left to discuss is sentencing. 30 days and a 1250 dollar max would be nice, but my bet is she walks with a 300 fine and 30 days probation as a warning.

I know from personal experience women can get away nearly anything using the police as a weapon without much reprecussion. Prosecutors just don't like to bring those cases, they feel too much pressure not to. Judges don't like to rule on them. Police are told outright not to.

You see in this piece all of the old lies, and you don't hear anything about the nightmare the men went through. Not a peep.

Wow, Is this a beginning? I live in Lane County OR, Eugene, Springfield area. I was managing property, had a false stalking order filed on me, because I asked a female tenant to move her vehicle, and it seems she, and her male partner wanted to sell methamphetamine off the property. Sadly for me Eugene isn't s enlightened as Southern OR. My Attorney told me the judge is pandering to special interest groups, so I am nervous, I have never stalked anyone in my life.
Oh well, lucky for those three young Men that the system is listening to the people in Southern OR.

Hmmmm. I lived in Salem some years ago. And to think.....I always regarded Eugene as a "cool" place -- which I guess it was... at the time, in a way, for me at least.

But everything has a shadowed flip side I reckon, and nowadays I can just imagine the more repressive aspects that must exist in such a community...

Funny how time works transformations upon attitudes, perceptions, moral standpoints, etc etc.....

From what I understand there was a "movement" of radical feminism that started in Portland. It grew south, which means it went through Salem. Also from what I understand it is now centered in Eugene, but has spread across the country. They have captured the justice department because of the control over Family Court, alluded to in the 911 report. I am glad you had a good experience there. Not all of my experiences have been "dark", but then again this isn't a tourist site for Oregon. Keep up the good fight, because we fight for our future, as well as for our progeny.

Looking back to my time in Salem, yes.....Those radical womminish types were all over the place, excavating their various cultural niches. I was young and naive, and I thought nothing of it -- they were just part of the colorful Serengeti plain of hippies and liberals and lefties and what-have-you. I bore them no ill will. Live and let live.

Oh my...live and learn, too!

Alas, if I were only left alone myself! But that is not the situation. They will not allow a Man to be left alone. So, if you will, the battle lines have already been drawn. To ignore an assault on our Liberty is to tacitly condone that action. If they would have only adhered to the saying Live and Let Live, we would not have the problems we do now. So, Fidelbogen I can only answer your statement this way, perhaps your struggle has ended and you have accepted your circumstances as they are, I am sorry to think that. As for my self, as long as I breath air, as long as my body houses my conscious thoughts, I will never surrender. It is the most important thing that I could do with my life, and I will endeavor to please the spirits of my Ancestors. Whoa..! I sure didn't mean to give THAT impression! Not a chance!

No, I am scheming, plotting, studying assiduously to bring them low and make them eat dirt. I am sharpening my tools and digging cognitive tunnels beneath their foundation -- where others may follow and plant all sorts of interesting dynamite. You get the picture.

My point was only to contrast my former youthful innocence with my current state of mind.
