NEUROTICA cartoon once again shows elder abuse as
posted by Matt on 01:41 PM November 2nd, 2005
Domestic Violence mens_issues writes "Several months ago, the NEUROTICA cartoon strip (by Big Al, the Gal) showed the "protagonist," Petunia, punching her grandfather "Gramps" in the face. Once again she has assaulted him in this manner. As if punching a 100-year-old man in the face is "funny." The strip was actually printed on October 10, but I just came across it now.

The email address of the cartoonist is: bigal-at-bigalcartoons.com

I wouldn't complain. This seems to portray modern American woman just about right.

I have noticed that even the SIMPSONS seem to think violence against old men is funny.
WHAT is so funny about it???

Mocking older men is a productive activity for Gender Feminists.

Elders are still accorded some degree of respect. This includes elder men, of course. Any time elder men can be made to look foolish, or can be abused with impunity, the respect for elders is diminished a bit, but the respect for elder MEN is diminished quite a lot.

If elder men can be easily abused/mocked/ disrespected, it becomes easier still to abuse/mock/disrespect all men and boys. Net gain for gender feminists.

Not that gender feminists generally reason things out in this fashion - I am not suggesting a conspiracy of any sort. Men of all ages are targets, and older men are easy targets - why not go after them? No conspiracy needed, just the reflexive desire of gender feminists to put down males of all ages and descriptions.

I don't see where this cartoon is mocking older men. The man hasn't done anything to "deserve" being hit.

My impression of the cartoon is that it is mocking "angry modern women" who lash out at innocent men for no good reason.

Oh I don't know, I think modern women are perfect. I especially like to kiss up to them and call them mommy while they spank me.

I also like to smack my wife with a rolled up newspaper, and wait for weeks to find out how she will get me back.

I also love to leave her a perfect tool to do so-leaving my computer on and myself logged in.
