Men's Rights Group: Victim Support Only For Women
Group says male victims of violence don't get same support as women.

Jon Baird
Reporting

(CBS 13) SACRAMENTO A men's rights group claims the domestic violence system is skewed toward women.

Today, a lawsuit was filed in Sacramento court, claiming that male victims don't get the same help as female victims.

"I remember going to phone 911, saying get here now, I'm going to kill him!" said Ruth Woods.

They fought all the time, often over money. Things sometimes got violent.

"I do it. I do hit. I do slap," said Ruth.

"She reaches a point when she's angry, you look in her eyes, there's no one there," said Ruth’s husband, David Woods."

women push the envenlope. they know you can't hit back or you go to jail. so we have to sit and let them pound on you, when, if it was a guy you'd know his teeth out.
same thing for their language. you would not tolerate abuse from a man, but must take it from a women.

This may be a bit off topic for this thread but I have noticed in the media coverage of Rosa Parks that there is particular emphasis on the MAN part of the Rosa Parks bus seat incident.

I wonder if the media coverage would be emphasizing the gender of the White person Rosa did not give up her seat for if that person had been a female?

I doubt if the media coverage would be stating that Rosa Parks did not give up her seat to a White woman but instead only that Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a White passenger.

Anybody else notice? The "men's right's group" is not named, whereas
WEAVE is identified by full name once and by acronym six times.

It's a remarkable example of bias against men built right into an article about bias against men.
