Domestic Violence Anonymous User writes:"Mistreatment and Harassment of Elders (Elder Abuse) in India

Elder abuse, the mistreatment and torture of of older people, though a manifestation of the timeless phenomenon of inter-personal violence is prevalent in India. Still, there is no systematic collection of statistics or prevalence studies, crime records, journalistic reports, social welfare records and small scale studies to provide evidence on existence of abuse, neglect and financial exploitation of elders. This is an extremely sorry state of affairs. We all will grow old sooner or later. Imagine, being mistreated, verbally abused, denied proper food, proper mediaction and care by younger members of family. Older people are indeed in a very helpless situation with eroding social values system in India. We all must have come across at least one or two cases of elder abuse or mistreatment in our neighbourhood."

DV but don’t hold your breath for feminists to campaign about it.
“More than 500,000 Americans aged 60 and over were victims of domestic abuse in 1996.”
Elder Abuse FAQ This is domestic violence but although the numbers are comparable to DV (husband/wife that is) you won’t hear the feminist shouting about it. Why not?
Abusers of older adults are both women and men.
So no “men do it”, no “1 in 4 women victims”. Because it’s a younger fit person often against a feeble older person, it can just as easily be a young/middle age women against a frail old man. Difficult to make it a women only issue, so we don’t hear one word from feminists, Oprah, BBC et al. Adding false accusations to it adds a new angle to it. I wonder if the Indians will be more successful than the West at shaking off this rubbish and getting a little sanity.

In India, the men's activism is not just there, so the feminists have a free run. In just one year, we have gathered about a 1000 people in various cities and launched helplines for men and elderly. Most of the stories of dowry deaths and bride burning appearing in western media are overexaggerated and just hoaxes. Feminists convert any accident into a dowry death to show a jump in statistics.

Indian Feminists are getting a lot of money from US and Europe. They collect this money as social welfare. Feminists and pseudo-liberals from US and Europe have a massive influence on Indian Media and feminists here. One way for us is to cut these influences and tell Indians to get back to the family system. Secondly, feminists are worst reductionists. Here we want to expose them as Indians are not reductionists in general. But there is a massive reductionist onslaught by Media and Liberal extremists which we want to stop at any cost.

Abuse of elders and abuse of men is nothing new in Indian society. Even our great epics Ramayana and Mahabharata (written 2000 years ego) start with Men's abuse where the women drive old men(kings) to misery and death.

In India, it takes 5 years to get a contested divorce (for a man or a woman). The country ranks very high in corruption in the world. The entire law enforcement system is corrupt and a portion of the bribes go to politicians and Feminist run organisations. So, there is an extreme abuse of innocent people (men, women and children) under laws like "section 498a" passed by feminists.

Finally, we find Indian Feminists have done some blunders. The feminist law "Section 498a" creates misery for more women than men. So, about 50% of our activists are women.

Also I do not now how it is west but in India the rate of mysterious deaths and rate of sucicide for men is more for married men then for unmarried men

while it is same for both unmarried and married women.

Any student of statistics can tell you then that husband as cause of death of wife is not a significant factor

Where as wife as a cause of death or suicide is a significant factor fo husband and
yet .. the pseudo liberals still blame husbands !!!!

In india
For same crime women get less punishment
The three men who conspired to kill Rajiv Gandhi were hanged but the women was granted pardon

DOWRY ( Daughter Own Wealth released ot you is a crime

but

SOWRY ( Sons Own wealth Released to You A.k.a known as lifestyle demands ) is not a crime

women pay less taxes then men on the same Rs to Rs earning

Women have more rights on properties then men
Men have only two sources of becoming rich
    1. Self Earning
    2. inheritence

Women have three sources of becoming rich
    1. Self Earned
    2. inheritence
    3. Husband
