I feel compelled to ask, why doesn't Katelyn Faber's name appear in the article? I mean, it's not like she's a victim of anything?

Exactly right. Kobe Bryant wasn't convicted of rape or sexual assault. The criminal case was dropped. The civil case was settled out of court (Bryant had to pay blackmail money) so Kate Faber isn't a victim of anything. There is NO reason why all the newspapers should be protecting her like some innocent flower by not printing her name. The court even said long ago that she couldn't sue under a "Jane Doe" but had to sue under her name. She is NOT a victim, so why is she treated like one? She now gets tax free blood money for having consensual sex with Kobe. A Gold-digger gets her reward.

I saw an interview with Ms. Faber's friend. She said that she and Kate had a contest going to see who could have intercourse with the most number of Men in a 26 week period. Kate was leading with over 32 Men in the same period her Friend had only had intercourse with 20 or so. This would have come out in court. Her credibility as a Witness would not stand up. That the DA even pursued this case just proves that an Ordinary Man's life would have been destroyed. Kobe did a stupid thing he cheated on his wife. But from Friends who were professional Athletes Women chase these guys like you would not believe.

By giving her money, he just stuck a finger in the eye of every man who ever has been or ever will be falsely accused of rape.
As long as criminal charges and possible prison time are pending, as much as it just makes me sick, I wouldn't fault any man for paying her off. But once the criminal part is over, and the dash for cash begins, a man with Kobe's financial resources has a DUTY to fight this to the death and put her lying ass through as much hell as possible. After all, she should have her turn too! He could have sent a message here, but chose to just get on with his merry little life.
Average men have no choice in the matter, as even the smallest little hicktown D.A. has enough money to beat him down financially until he pleads guilty to something. But Kobe has resources and no excuse. First he fucks us over by cheating on his wife(and furthering the stereotype that men are cheaters) then he lets the lying bitch set another precedent for future little money grubbers.
In short, fuck you Kobe!

Ole "Roll Over Kobe" just encouraged all the slutty nutjobs out there to entice any man they think might have some money into sex and then cry rape to get a settlement.
I never watch basketball so he is no big loss to me.
