Men's Courses Bad, Women's Courses Good....
posted by Matt on 06:10 PM February 16th, 2005
Inequality bro writes "The University of California is reconsidering their earlier stance on a men's lit course called: "Literature By and About Men." You can find it Here.

After being accused of gender discrimination, the University of California has reversed an earlier decision to reject a lower-division English course called "Literature By and About Men."

I bet the feminists are fuming over this university's decision!"

There has never been a better time for a course that studies what it means to be a man... in today's society, where the male role has been subjected to such immense change and even discrimination, it is implausible to deny men everywhere the opportunity to study their identity.

I compliment Agape Press, for reporting this story, and all the people and groups affiliated with this story for pointing out the politically correct bias against males in California's higher educational system. However, there was some conflicting reporting in the story, that I hope I've cleared up below.

The highest educational facilities in the State of California are the 9 campuses of the University of California . The UC web site actually shows 10 campuses. Hmmmmm

The next highest level is the California State College system. Many of these also have the title "univeristy in their title such as CSUN (California State University Northridge). There are 23 campuses in that system.

The "entry level" to college is the Community College System . These colleges prepare students for upper division and teach curriculum geared for the first two years of college only. I found Monterey Peninsula College listed under the Community College System. Agape Press did a poor job in establishing which system Monterey Peninsula College was in and started the article with it in the University System (the highest level of education in California), when in reality Monterey Peninsula College is in the lowest level of "higher education," just immediately higher than high school. Obviously Agape Press did not understand the educational heiracrchy of California higher education systems.

All that being said, it is refreshing to see Agape Press expose the tip of the ice berg that exists in California's misandrist educational systems. Please, please keep up the effort. Their is much, much more misandry that needs to be uncovered.

I hope I got all the links right. I'm doing this on dial up (entry level net surfing).

Sincerely, Ray
