Discriminatory Abortion Rights in Maryland
posted by Matt on 06:29 PM February 4th, 2005
Inequality Douglas Bittinger writes "Maryland has a facially discriminatory abortion law giving women, but not men, the right to terminate pregnancy, and thus the right not to have to pay child support. A father defending a child support action has filed a motion for summary judgment alleging that abortion laws discriminate on the basis of gender, and child support therefore violates men's 14th amendment equal protection rights. The case is CAD 04-04369, in the Prince George's County, Maryland, Circuit Court."

Ed. note: The Daily Docket listing for the court is found here though I was not able to locate a case search facility on the web site.

Good luck on this one!

But at least the effort will have been made and the point made in the public domain.

Every little bit helps. Even the failures help turn the tide.

Hope that he wins, but it's an uphill battle. We have to turn this around though.
The truth will set you free.

Child support laws that are based just on the fact of whether a man is the biological father screw men and male sexuality. In the US, the Supreme Court has called partial birth abortion a constitutional right. Politicians and professors pretend that partial birth abortion is crucial to women's freedom. But a guy can't even have a one-night stand for fun without worrying that sometime in the next 18 years the government might hunt him down and whack him for big money ("child support"). That's f**ked up.

Women have one night stands for fun too but they have the option to use abortion to get out of any responsibility for any pregnancy that might result. But men are enslaved by a tyrannical judiciary if the female wants him to be responsible for the pregnancy. THAT IS WHAT IS REALLY F***ED UP! And it is past time to change this.
