posted by Matt on 12:23 PM January 26th, 2005
Domestic Violence bandersnatch writes "From The Telegraph, a bride stabbed her husband to death seven days after they returned from their honeymoon, a court was told yesterday. Catherine Osliffe, 34, is alleged to have carried out the attack within minutes of telling her victim: 'We`ve only been together for a week and I hate you already. I can't stand you.'"

Okay.
He shouldn't have poured the water and flowers on her. But that, certainly, is no excuse to GO GET A KNIFE AND KILL SOMEONE!!!!

But some how, some way, that and other things will be used as convienient excuses to get this woman off the hook, as usual, I think.
*sigh*

Sounds like she definitely has borderline personality disorder, and maybe her husband did too. Of course, other than the stabbing and an arguement in public, none of those other events may actually have happened. Often in these cases the only thing you have is the physical evidence that is reliable, and many of things come down to he said she said even at that - and of course, one of those parties can no longer speak for themselves.

You can't please a borderline BTW. No matter what you do they will find fault with it, obcess over it & generally make your time miserable to you give in to a row with them. If you ignore them in that state, they will only persist louder, and sometimes violently. There had to be some warning signs for him, or perhaps they were both borderline and would tolerate that sort of behavior more and somehow had the idea that a marriage would end whatever insecurity problems she & he had. A week later, reality. Just speculation on my part.

They may have a mental illness that makes their emotions a roller coaster, but it's no reason not to hold them accountable for what they do.
If this woman turns out to be psychologically "normal" I'll eat my cigar. :)
