Men's Rights Activist or Total Nutbag?
posted by Thomas on 05:10 PM July 22nd, 2004
News The EU-parliament has a member who claims that he represents men's rights. Here's an article on him. While the guy strikes me as a nitwit, the article does point out that the UK's current paid-parental-leave policy is two weeks for fathers and six months for mothers.

Aaaaaah. Eeek-wallet-eeeee.

Here's another article on this dude. I'm not terribly concerned about him damaging the image of the men's rights movement, because we have far too many legitimate grievances. Besides, we're going to run into a lot of idiocy, so there's not much point in getting upset about it. Just move on.

Anyway, I have to say, I've gotten a few chuckles over this character's antics.

Sounds like a set up. Ten bucks says he is a hire of the feminists to further their cause. Wouldn't put it past them to try and rekindle their supporters with this new battle. Nothing brings people together quicker than a common enemy.

Flash in the pan.

The women of the European parliament today took revenge on Godfrey Bloom, the Ukip MEP, when they thwarted his attempt to join a committee devoted to women's rights.

So why doesn't he join a committee devoted to men's rights? His time would be better spent. Oh, there isn't one? WHY NOT?!?!?! Promoting men's rights is desperately needed in today's decaying and dying Western countries and especially in Europe.

well... i don't think he'd make a good member for a men's rights eu board. this guy seems more of a plant he's her to make us look like something where not, like actually sexist. The only people i can think of who would fit in such a role is mathew o'connor and bob geldof.
