posted by Matt on 06:03 PM June 20th, 2004
The Media 2004 Men's Rights Congress Committee member Brett Freeman had an op-ed published today in The Washington Times. The Times and the Washington Post are DC's two major newspapers. Way to go, Brett!!!

I'd say the author got a lot of bang for his buck in the limited space he was given in an op-ed - very nicely written.

Perhaps if we repeat the concerns that men face often enough and loud enough, even those elected dullards in D.C. will become aware, although that is a lot to ask.

I'm glad Brett Freeman got his article published in the Washington Times. It is a well-written piece and outlines some important points.

And I agree with Ray that it's important for people to write their elected representatives on the national level. I wish we could get enough pressure on Congress and the president to establish a federal Office of Men's Health. It would be a symbolic but important victory.

This is a very well written piece.

I am not saying this to be patronizing either.

I am also keeping it for future reference in case someone asks just what are men demanding as their rights. The article spells them out precisely and with feeling.

Good job!

Excellent work, Brett. Thank you very much for your pioneering efforts in this important area of social justice. Men's issues are so important, but so ignored, just as you described.
