(From the article) -- "It was the fifth domestic-related slaying linked to the base in June and July 2002. The other four involved Fort Bragg wives who were allegedly killed by their husbands."
Under the current Bush doctrine, the four alleged homicides by men are exempt from prosecution as they were clearly preemptive stikes!

"...She also said her mother gave her the gun."
"Prosecutor Greg Butler said that according to witnesses, Joan Shannon had tried for three months to find someone to kill her husband. One witness told investigators she saw Joan Shannon ask another person to kill her husband and promise to pay the person from insurance money."
Well they called it domestic something, but not domestic violence, which is what this is.
Just another woman trying to work the old domestic violence scam, only she doesn't seem to be very bright. It's just not that hard for a woman to get away with murdering her husband/boy friend. Where's her domestic violence industry advocate? If she just calls the domestic violence industry they can coach her to use the ruse that she was a "battered woman." The guys dead. He won't be doing any disagreeing.
As blatant as this domestic violence murder of a man by a woman is, the main stream domestic violence indstry still tries to cover up that there are male victims of domestic violence.
