MSN covers unfaithful wives
posted by Matt on 12:28 PM April 21st, 2004
The Media Surprised to see this on MSN. Usually MSN's line is as we know, "men are the cheaters, women are not." I note the speed with which MSN pulls in "experts" to explain away the causes, however. How about just this: Long-term monogamy doesn't come naturally for most people of either sex. Why is this so hard for so many people to accept when experience bears it out again and again?

Long term monogamy is just a lot of work, it is not incompatable with humanity. I have several older single friends, and I can tell you the grass is no greener on the other side. Marraige is just hard work and the ability to put someone else before yourself. This article was just another bunch of excuses why women should look out for themselves. Note that in the one case~

"A little more than a year after the affair began, Elizabeth and her husband divorced, and she and her two sons moved in with Bob."

Oh really? Shouldn't the kids have stayed with the trustworthy parent? I guess the 'excitement' was better for the kids too? GRRR.

So while yes they did at least admit women cheat, they couched it in terms of acceptance, and the fault of the men they were with.
