	CJ writes "No one here will be suprised to learn that a woman fabricated a story for personal gain (yet she still is a "victim")and the system was easy on her. In this case a Woman closed an airport to avoid a vacation with boyfriend. The threat prompted authorities to shut down Germany's third busiest airport on a busy Sunday in September, stranding 64,000 people for hours, while police searched in vain for a bomb. The woman was given a suspended sentence after admitting in court that she called authorities and, in a hoax, made an al Qaeda bomb threat because her parents disapproved of her boyfriend. If a male had done this, you know that he would have been locked up for a long, long time. Again, this story is listed under the "unusual article" section, damn spin sisters."

Oh Hum...Just Another "Cute" Female Violence Story (Score:2) by Luek on 07:01 AM April 14th, 2004 EST (#1) (User #358 Info) The threat prompted authorities to shut down Germany's third busiest airport on a busy Sunday in September, stranding 64,000 people for hours, while police searched in vain for a bomb. The woman was given a suspended sentence I just bet the judges thought this self absorbed female was "cute" or "feisty" in closing down an entire busy airport and costing thousands of people their valuable time and money. Seems the attitude authorities have of "cute" female violence is endemic in all the Western world. She only got a suspended sentence! Well, we can't have HER life interrupted over this little incident. I remember when I was in high school there was a spat of bomb hoaxes called in to local schools and everyone who was caught, all juveniles, were given at least a year in juvenile detention, as well as they should have! Even though they were underaged juveniles they still were held accountable for their violence.

Re:Oh Hum...Just Another "Cute" Female Violence St (Score:1) by dragon on 03:33 PM April 18th, 2004 EST (#2) (User #1679 Info) oh yeah, don't ya know that only men commit "real" crimes, women only mess around and are not very good at it (unless they kill their own children)...the bitch who caused the false alarm needs to be imprisoned, if only to send the message to other women that their abuses will not be tolerated... violent crime is punished severely, but nobody pays much attention to the different kind of violence that women usually engage in...that is, emotional and psychological violence, examples being oppression of the male partner, naging, etc...this
