... in signing this petition has nothing to do with the petitiion but with the site itself. I note that under Step 4, where one can check a box to be kept aware of related petitions, there is a check box for women but not for men.

I find this to be discriminitory and offensive. Is there any way we can get this changed?

I signed it last time Jen. But keep reposting it. It's important. Especially since THIS time I took the time to read the other people's "blurbs". Oh, and Jen, read my reply to you when you replied to that 9/11 woman. You got some guys here who wanna help you play pinball (3 of us being bumpers bumping her around).

Petitioning is a good idea, but Internet petitions are not necessarily effective and can be prone to problems.

A better idea might be contacting officials directly. The EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation), an Internet civil liberties group, has information on contacting lawmakers.
