How come my score is only a **1** and JenK (TBQ) is a **2**. Granted, it's always easier for a girl to score .. (ahem) .. but feel unentitled. I feel victimized. I want my woobie!! JenK is unfairly using her female privlege to garner points... and I might need therepy (wah!).

On a serious note, I have some DV stats saved on WORD docs, but can anyone get me proof that their statements are lies so I can sent it in too. I LIVE for letter writing (ok, a BIT of exageration there).

Pay no attention to the rating system. The rating system is completely unimportant. MANN will handle the rating system for you. There is no reason for you to continue asking questions about the rating system. Furthur questioning at this point can only lead to ulcers and other health problems.
PS - Your friends and family don't love you. Only MANN loves you.

This organization will undoubtedly stand behind their phony data by saying they got it from XYZ authoritative source and consider the issue closed. One of the sources they reference is the “Governor's Division on Prevention of Family Violence”. A search of the gov’s site indicates the Governor’s Commission to Prevent Violence Against Women (Executive Order 2003-13) supercedes the Governor's Commission on Prevention of Family Violence.

The exec order includes statements such as:
1.approximately one out of three women will be a victim of domestic
violence in her lifetime
2. battering of women in their own homes accounts for more injuries to
women requiring medical treatment than rapes, muggings, and car accidents combined
Does anyone have a source that confirms or refutes these figures?
I think we’ll get nowhere by criticizing DV advocates if it’s the state itself that they’re using for a reference. If data like this is phony our efforts should be directed at the state.
