This makes me so angry and sad. I dunno what to say. I have been reading all online. I read that the boys were eating the paint off one of the walls in their bedroom.
We have some serious issues in this country, and we have some nerve to be pointing fingers at other countries.

How could not one person notice these boys were abnormally, freakishly undernourished: 48 lb. at 19 is less than a third of what my boyfriend weighs at 19, and he isn't considered heavy-set by any extent of the imagination. Cripes, at 9 I weighed 60 lbs, and people thought I was one of those girls destined for anorexia [hahaha]! How could not one caseworker, who is supposed to know their medical history, NOT realize they had distended stomachs for no good reason?
THEN, to add insult to injury, how do we have cases like this where the chilren are obviously miserable and repeatedly looked in on and ignored and THEN cases were perfectly normal parents are harassed and antagonized by this system? We have fathers who have court-ordered injunctions never to yell at their children, who aren't allowed to see their kids on unsubstantiated claims of violence against the kids or their wives.

There was another article (can't find it at the moment) that said the girls routinely ate in front of the boys, and were fat.
The boys were locked out of the kitchen.
How all this went unnoticed by the caseworker is curious. Perhaps she was complicit in this abuse - social work attracts every kind of sociopath imagineable.
