States Differ on College Fees in Divorce

News The Las Vegas Sun writes...

"States are all over the place on this issue," said Sandra Morris, president of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. "In many situations, it's very tragic - the divorced parents don't do what they would have done if they had stayed together, and the children are pretty much cut off (from any support)."

"Judges need to listen more to how it makes a father feel when a kid says, 'Don't ever call me, I don't want to speak to you, here's my bill for $20,000,'" Boc said. "It drives people crazy."

It is NOT the business of the state if a father doesn't choose to fork over $20,000 plus to a grown child to go to college.

This is just another example of the state and bastards in black robes trying to micromanage people's (especially men's lives) lives.

As far as getting the money to go to college the kid could have studied harder in high school and become eligible for an academic scholarship rather than hang out at the mall. It is the responsibility of the kid to get the money to go to college not the father.

Always remember: "More pain, suffering and injustice in our society has been caused by the fascist tyrants in black robes than was ever caused by the fascist tyrants in white ones."

If you are over 18, you should pay for all costs yourself. A lot of financial advisors are even stating that people should look to their own retirement before they look to the college interest of their adult children. The children have more time to pay off their college debt then the parent has time to secure a good retirement.
