Announcements HombreVIII writes "Many of us have lamented about the lack of men's issues sections in our local bookstores, but for Gordon Clay a men's issues section isn't good enough. Gordon is the owner of the new Men's Issues Study, a library soon to be opened in southern Oregon. After having toured 26 US states with thousands of men's issues books, cassettes, and videos in his Browser Bookmobile, Mr. Clay has created a new home for them by personally funding the construction of a suitable building to house them out of his own savings. The building was completed on July 19th and the shelves are expected to be fully stocked in August."

That pic of the library sure looks small. I can't see how Gordon will get all of the books from the bookmobile into that space let alone have room for someone to study.

In the paragraph headed "intern oportunities" it says there is a lot of work to be done which may qualify for college credits, esp for those doing "mens' studies". I am unaware that there are any coleges doing mens' studies courses but would be delighted to hear that such courses actually exist.

Yes, but by "mens'studies", I am referring to courses which could act as a counter-balance to so called "womens studies" (which are a corner stone of feminaziism). The feminazis are ruthlessly suppressing the establishment of such courses.

Warren Farrell in one of his books does an explanation of why history is not men's studies. I recall he makes a very good arguement so I won't try to recreate it here. I believe it was in, "The Myth of Male Power."

Clearly, there are many aspects of men's lives that need to be studied and taught that are not covered by a history major. Likewise, women's studies is not listed under the history dept. course offerings (at least not most). A number of men's studies courses need to be developed and taught under the departments of Sociology and or Psychology. There are none that I am aware of in man hating california colleges and universities.

The case can easily be supported that, historically, men have been far more oppressed than women. The case can and has been easily made in a number of scholarly books that have come out over the past decade or so. That is why feminist fight so hard and underhandedly to suppress these facts from coming to wider public circulation. Heavan forbide that men should be allowed to express their vicitmization and oppression, and thereby somehow show that to be born human is to be faced with many challanges (some the same, and some different based on gender).
