To frown is a crime?!

News MrDave writes "The city council in Palo Alto, California is considering a “code of conduct” mandating officials not to roll their eyes, shake their heads, or frown. The purpose is to discourage non-verbal forms of “disagreement or disgust”. The council member proposing the idea is a woman. The scary aspect of this story is Palo Alto is the last city in Silicon Valley, California, to consider such a code – according to the mayor: also a woman. How long until men are arrested and charged with frowning at the silliness of such women? Unless we’re careful, laughing out loud at a woman could become a capital crime. Don't we all remember Al Gore and his rude gestures during the presidential debates?
I think it's only appropriate that elected officials show proper respect and decorum while on duty and in session etc. The trend of making insulting and disrespectful faces to express contempt, disapproval and arrogant disdain, has become a new-age flip-off which are so annoying that it makes me want to slap their rolling eyes out of their sneering faces.
This law only applies to elected officials, so it's not like it's a First Amendment violation or anything.

Okay, there was a time when I voted all the time for women in politics.
I even wanted Geraldine Ferrarro as vice president, way back when. I was doing everything I could to work for a day we would see our first female president of the United States.
Then slowly but steadily I saw what kind of, frankly, inept, stupid, anti-male, Draconian and civil-rights-threatening laws and legislations SO MANY female politicians ram through and still are trying to ram through on the American populace.
Needless to say, My "pro-female" stance has come back to haunt me. I apoligize to every person in this country, for being so BLIND! especialy I apoligize to the Men and children of my great country. All I can keep saying to myself is; "What have I done...?"
But the time has come for me to make right what I did wrong. I rarely if ever vote for or support ANY female candidate, now.
If I ever do again in the future, is up to these women. If they straighten up and fly right, ...maybe. But if they keep pushing for idiotic rules, regulations and social-engieering, ...never AGAIN!

Regulating facial-expressions. My GOD...!
