News Freebird writes "This article entitled "Women March To End Violence" entitled shows the usual female tendency to ignore violence against males, which of course makes up the overwhelming majority of violence, not to mention female against male violence being nearly as common as vice versa and increasing year by year. There is a place at the bottom of this page to post feedback regarding the article. We should take advantage of opportunities like this to get the truth about violence out. The more the publice hears it, the better for all of us."

Why not a march to end violence against everyone (Score:1)

I'm ashamed to admit this but when I was a kid 15 and 16 years old I was involved in these sorts of things. I was a member of the New Democrat Youth of Alberta and went on marches like these and political rallies.

I then began to see the hatred these people had for white hetrosexual males. The marches and the rallies were not about ending violence but about putting down and demonizing men. This guy they interviewed is either very dim-witted or decieved if he didn't see the hate for men at the march. Why can't we have marches for violence against everyone, are not the lives of men and women equal?

At the time of my life when I was in the feminazi groups I really did despise myself for being a man. I really did think that I was opressing people because I was born white and that I was inherently violent and hatefully competitive.

I left these groups after I saw the hatred invovled and even within my high school many of the women there hated men. I saw frequent acts of both physical and sexual violence initiated by women at my high school in the hallways. This violence was mostly used to humiliate the man in front of groups of people. They would do this knowing that the men/boys wouldn't hit back and if the guys did they would be expelled from the school. When I was in college I was really drifting like I think many young men today are. I didn't care about much anymore.

Even now you can't escape women's violence against men. My wife went to a staff party and she won a mug that says "This mug contains scalding hot coffee. If you make a sexist remark to me I will spill it on your crotch. Have a nice day.", and people think this is the height of comedy. Anyone up for a couple mindless chants of "There is no excuse for violence!"

It wasn't until I came upon Warren Farrel's books that things began to change for me. I finally got some self-respect back and realized everything I was fed was complete and utter bullshit.

It's great to have websites like this it just might save some young guys out there. Sometimes this site depresses me but most of the time it lets me know there are others like me out there.

Too much violence against WOMEN... (Score:0)

These are likely the same gals who also believe that there is to much violence against women in the media, too.
But just remember, you guys. The only reason these fems are concerned about violence against women is because they TRUELY believe that it is the only kind of violence that is IMPORTANT.
Violence against men doesn't matter, becaue men don't matter.
And besides, remember; "Violence against women is DIFFERENT." So say the feminazi weirdos, whackos and wet-wipes.

I also posted a very moderate and even suportive little note, but I too doubt it's got a chance in hell of making it to the list...

I think you're on the right track with the inclusive nature of the "take back the night" rally. Men and women need to work together to end violence.

I would however suggest that you not limit your efforts to curbing male on female violence alone, but rather ALL violence. Since every unbiased study in the last thirty years has shown women to be AT LEAST as violent as their partners (and twice as violent as their male partners towards their children), to highlight violence as a "male only" problem is simply ignoring well over half the problem. The significant participation of women in such events provides a valuable opportunity to get them to consider the part they play in violence in the home, and gain the support of men who look to end ALL forms of family violence.

yeah, I posted this morning, still "no feedback". Well, maybe they haven't gotten to the web stuff yet, or maybe they are carefully reading each response (yeah, right....)
