Boycott Budweiser and Post-it Notes

News Alan Millard writes "Post-it Note pads (3M company) has expressed many examples of prejudice and discrimination against men. Captions include: "The more I know about men, the more I like my dog," and "Men have only two faults: everything they do and everything they say." After being confronted by Men's Rights, Inc., 3M gave them a shameless if not criminalistic response, ensuring them they would continue to use their products to only bash men, and "...assured us that they would never sell a product which was equally offensive to women." Reward companies that do not practice prejudice and discrimination, perhaps as Beauatone Notes, that can replace the same product. Budweiser is guilty of expressing extreme prejudice and abusiveness of men, especially in its Bud-light commercials. Does anyone remember in one Bud Light commercial the woman at the bar, who didn't like the man's demeanor next to her, kills the man, then tells the bartender to "keep the chains," referring to the chains left behind the poor guy had worn around his neck? Ironically, this product also provides an example of men selling out their self-worth, since this beer is often deemed the official beer of many men's sports! Explain that one. Would a product that put down women and conveyed abuse of women be sponsored and endorsed by women's sports events?"

Interesting isn't it, that when men complain about the anti-male garbage in commercials aimed at women, the ad execs say; "Women are the target audience, for the ad, so the male-bashing should be expected..."
So what's their explaination when male-bashing commercials target MEN...?!?

I may have missed it being posted, but is there anywhere I can read the 3M response and what Men's Rights Inc actually discussed with them?

The response you describe sounds unbelievable. Depending on who wrote it, we could perhaps flag it higher up in the company as an example of the type of marketing employees they have?

I agree. I would like to read the original unedited response in context.

...due to ads like the ones often described herein. I also think most of everything on TV is mindless drivel anyway even if it doesn't include male-bashing, and thus don't waste my time with it.

Life's just too damned short...
