Another man free after 19 years in jail

False Accusations CJ writes "DNA clears another man who was sent to jail based upon false allegations. False allegations have ruined many a mans life, and until the US courts become unbiased and require proof, not the current "she said" evidence, things will always be bad. This is true for domestic violence allegations and sexual crimes. Innocent people have to be protected, otherwise there is no justice. It has become a "witch hunt" for men in the courts of the US. Middlesex MA District Attorney Martha Coakley said "There is not much you can say to someone who has unfortunately been at the wrong end of an imperfect system." http://www.boston.com/news/daily/03/maher.htm"

"Dennis Maher, 42, said he had a message for the women after prosecutors dropped the charges at a hearing at Middlesex Superior Court in Cambridge: "What happened to you really happened, and I hold no grudges against you.""

This guy should sue the hell out of everyone. I don't know the details of the case, but so many accusations of rape are a coverup for an infidelity. Husband comes home , his wife smells like sex. Whalla the story begins.

"Gee, ladies, I don't blame you at all for deliberately sending me to the Outer Hells for nineteen years of my life."

What a milquetoast. I sympathize with him for his troubles but for him to forgive these three horrible bitches who LIED about him in such an inexcusable manner is beyond my comprehension.

I guess it is the old chilvary crappola kicking in. 19 years in prison can do strange things to a man's mind and way of thinking.

Yeah, he should sue the snot out of every pig that had a hand in this travesty of justice. But something tells me he will not. Just forgive and forget garbage!

Thanks Dennis for putting all men at risk by not challenging the corrupt misandric system!

You can start by saying "I'm sorry." But of course, that would be a lie.

He was also found not guilty on charges of sexual assault. But then being rich and famous tends to help.

Among the lauding of the good use of DNA testing, I notice that they don't mention anything about the MIS-use of DNA testing in England; for years now, they've been in the practice of conducting random DNA-tests on everyone in a certain area who fits the description of alleged rapists.
Basically, they just have the police perform DNA tests on these people without cause or arrest etc. And of course, the person's DNA records remain on file.... George Orwell never even DREAMED of a world this invasive.

How long will it be before we have the same thing here, since women consider sexual assault to be the ultimate crime, despite advocating the same against men on a regular basis?

This is just speculation, but considering the rampant problem of prison rape, it's entirely feasible that Dennis Maher was the one raped here. (Physically raped, in addition to being raped by the legal system.)

Again, that's just speculation. I have no idea whether or not he was actually raped in prison. I am NOT saying he was. But it isn't that much of a stretch of the imagination.

What it boils down to is that some (SOME) women will make false accusations of rape that send a man to prison, where he is actually and literally raped. (I say "some" just in case someone objects, thinking that I'm saying all accusations of rape are false.)

If it can be proven that a woman makes a false accusation, she should be given the exact same sentence that the innocent man would have gotten.
