Girl accused in plot to kill grandmother

News Mitch Dean writes "Milwaukee Journal 02/26/03 This is an article About a fourteen year old girl who alledegly solicited her boyfriend to kill her Grandmother for the sum of $100.00 or else she would break up with him.The grandmother was informed of the attempted plot by a freind of the girl. The girls defense attorney says he will establish that it was all joke. This defense does not surprise me.Our culture would be more comfortable believing a female of any age incapable of such treachery. The story should be tracked just to see the outcome and treatment by the legal system to further demonstrate inequity in charges and sentencing between male and female juviniles."

> The girl also was accused of second-degree sexual assault of a child for engaging in sexual intercourse with the boy, who is 15, the petition states

I am amazed at this if this is, in fact, the case. A young girl, 14 years old, being accused of sexual assault of a boy who is the same age or older than she? I've never heard of this before!

Here in Texas, nothing is generally done, even when a boy has sex with a girl, unless there is at least 3 years difference between them.

Anybody else here as incredulous about this as I?

This girl isn't getting special treatment, she's having the book thrown at her!

No, DH, it's a typical prosecutorial trick. Take every single possible felony, misdemeanor, infraction and ball them up in one bill of charges. Then they negotiate a plea bargain downwards. SOP. Happens all the time, and the amount of people who are actually prosecuted on the whole thing, let alone convicted and sentenced, is statistically zero.

Wait and see what the final sentence is.

Verrrry Interrrrestinnnnnggggg! Now it makes more sense.

Thanks for setting me straight, Gonzo. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the end result ends up just as you predict, too.

By the way, did you read this article about the 42 year old woman and 14 year old boy getting married in Alabama? And the parents are signing off on it!!!

This is a typical feminist defense, i.e. expecting to get away with hurtful or criminal behavior as a "joke" because they're cute little things.... then, they bitch about not being taken seriously.
Meanwhile, men who protest are chided as feeling "threatened" by women who are obviously harmless little children.

This is the main example of feminists and their female followers wanting it both ways-- or at least remaining silent on the issue.
