It seems that even in Japan westernization has struck! Manipulative, spoiled, and held above the law, women will help destroy the natural state of humanity. Men being held accountable as wage earners only, and second class citizens, will only help breed another generation of confused spoiled children with gender conflict; while holding out their hands to the government for a living.

Someone's going to have to correct me here because my understanding of Japanese customs are derived from fictional works I've read and from the expalnations of one Japanese-American woman I knew.

It's my understanding that in Japanese culture, the home is the fundamental domain of the wife, including control over all money. In fact, as I understand it, instead of the tradition of male birthright of western custom, there is female birthright where instead of the first son of the first son receiving the estate, it is the first daughter of the first daughter. That also, a man takes his wife's name when they marry. So Japanese women came equipped with some of the license that American women had to fight for (and still aren't satisfied with). The Japanese man potentially has it far worse than the American man, with the exception that the women have far less ability to change the laws through the courts or through the electorate.

Someone please fill me in here.

It has been my undrestanding that while what you say is true in so far as custom is concerened, that men in Japan have been in the past very abusive. Japan is also the country that created the Geisha, and warriors in Japan have always held power, and control. While their culture is not exactly the same as ours, westernization is a disease that sweeps the world, seperating the men from the women regardless of culture, ultimately weakening the family structure as it has in this country. People that have an intellect would do themselves well to ask what is the ultimate outcome of this mass resocialization of the world, and do we really want it?

I TRUELY hate to see this happen to the women of Japan.
Every single woman I have ever met that was from Japan was always a delight to know.
Now to think that they may become the shreiking harpious gender-bigots that women in America, Canada, Australia and Great Britan have become, saddens me greatly.
