What not make de jure what is already de facto?
Look at the mother in Texas who drowned her children. It didn't take long at all before people were talking about having the father's head.
And it's not an aberration. Everywhere you turn, if women are shown to have a shortcoming, it's not even reported without some pheminut comment about how "men" drive women to be that way.

Another woman in power, bent on the subjagation of men, while rendering women free of responsibility for their actions. The true nature of the beast is power, guilded with deceit, and violence. If only there were a magic button to make beasts like this go away.

I don't know if any one's heared about this. The media usualy tries to keep this sort of thing "hush, hush".
It turns out another woman thought that Clara Harris' idea was a good one.
She, like Harris, ran her husband down with her car.
Before that, though, the two had an argument in which the woman pulled a knife on her husband and slashed his arm. Then she ran him down with her car.
This guy was "luckier" than David Harris, though. he survived and is now in the hospital.
I'm not sure just in what condition he is in. The news out-let I was watching reported the incident very quickly and moved on to another story, neglecting to say what condition the husband was in.
So, after all these incidences of female on male violence the media still ignores male victims of DV. Just amazeing.
Look for it to get MUCH worse, folks.
And this latest bit about female on male murder to be legalized is not just a sighn of this. It is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.
Thundercloud.

Provocation is the basis for many acts of family violence. Verbal abuse, prolonged emotional neglect, threatening violence to the other can all be used as provocations in a defense.
I do not believe provocation should be removed as a defense for killing, but it should be a matter which the jury considers. However, if it is allowed as a defense for women, it should be allowed as a defense for men as well. The problem is our enculturation leads us to believe men can and should fend for themselves while women must be protected from men. Therein lies the inequality in my view.

Wow. Another new name (at least to me) Welcome Aboard, Todd!
Is there a roster or a counter where we track the number of regular contributors here? It seems that we've got steady growth...
