In the past I tried to find a branch of Progressive in L.A. but couldn't. An address on the info line was no good. If anyone happens to know of a branch in L.A. please let me know. We might then do a protest. angelucci2000@alumni.law.ucla.edu

I have done a little research. The Chair of the Bd of Directors of Progressive Insurance is one Dr. Bernadine Healy, M.D. (see http://progressive.net/Investors/healy.asp).
She has the following CV:

She's an "old girl", lads. And I imagine she finds "those ads" most amusing.

'Tulkas,
Did you mention something earlier (a few months ago) about a possible law-suit against Progressive and\or the F.C.C.?
If so, Do you know any more about it, or how it's going?
Thanks.

I was just watching Brent Bozell today on C-span, claiming that the FCC had never fined a television station for indecent broadcasting, so I don't imagine they are overly concerned.
I did send a legal demand-letter to Progressive.com that they cease and desist from general misandry in their advertisements, however it seems that they feel safe in any such lawsuit amounting to nothing more than a tax write-off, and they furthermore seem take this as a carte blanche to air such hate-messages until a court of law orders them otherwise.
I don't have the means to wage such a lawsuit myself, however the filing of written complaints to the FCC might be a good start.
My local broadcast station seems to have ceased to carry Progressive.com as a sponsor in response to my letters, however my local cable station seems to have picked them up instead.
