Announcements The winner of the V-Day parody song contest has been released. Jack Kammer, a men's issues writer, sponsored this contest to find a good parody of the Wizard of Oz song, "If I only had a heart" to satirize the idea that women are the exclusive victims of violence and oppression, which is the main impetus behind changing Valentine's Day to "V-Day". The winning entry can be found here, and the second and third place winners on this page. Many thanks to everyone who participated - the contest was a lot of fun. Plus, the winner received $100 cash prize!

No big issue, I suppose. But the change of Valentine to "V" or "V-Day", reminds me of war, like in my dad's days, Victory Day in WWII.

Like the winning song, it also remainds me of a common term for her anatomy in my youth: "The Golden V", technically speaking real blond, but used generically regardless of Clairol or not.

Of course today, keeping up with times, the Golden V is often irrelevant. Shaven and baby-smooth is kewl. Maybe the baby-part is also relevant and symbolic.

Maybe the change of Valentine Day to V-Day is apropos. Such as asking her, "Would you be my V?" In which case, gold is relevant, too.

I posted this on another thread, but I feel it's worth repeating. We should point out to the fembots that V-Day is the day that a woman, Clara Harris, was finally held responsible for her murderous domestic violence.
