Massachusetts Under Pressure To Revamp Support Law

Inequality Luek writes "[This] article... is about the push in Massachusetts to revise the child support and custody statutes to make them more equitable. There are some interesting statements in the piece made to the Chief Justice (a female) sic by a Father's Rights advocate, Mark Charalambous about non-custodial parents (males mostly) being at the breaking point and threatening social upheaval and unrest. Let's watch this one." Interestingly, the Boston lawyers in this piece are arguing for more child support, even in light of the recent suicide of Derrick Miller, who was ordered to pay out 82 percent of his monthly income to his wife (who made twice as much as he in one month).

Where did you find the info on Miller's CS payment and the parties' income?

Glenn Sacks mentioned it in his radio broadcast on the Al Rantel show. He apparently obtained the court documents (court documents are public record). A listener subsequently posted the information to the ifeminists.com bulletin board.

You can listen to the show here.

“Unless the Guideline is changed appropriately to allow [fathers] to keep enough of their income to provide a roof over their heads, decent accommodations for their children while in their care, and food in the refrigerator to feed them, the Commonwealth will be responsible for the civil unrest and upheaval that will surely ensue."

This type of tough talk needs to be heard in all states, and if no relief comes, protests must happen.

"Ms. Dortch-Okara, the notion that [the courts should disregard the income of] one, but not both, of the parents, is plainly unjust on its face. To suggest that the custodial parent's income [should be disregarded] is so transparently sexist as to be absurd."

This should apply to all income in the home of the child. Fathers should not be subsidizing women that live at a much higher standard, wheather it's because they remarried, won the lottery or collect welfare.

"Many lawyers who did not wish to be quoted tell MassNews that the guidelines are often very unfair, particularly to men."

Cowards.

I might point out that there is no end of bragging among the women. They all have the expressed of obtaining as much tax free income via child support as possible.

One woman, could brag enough about how she used the tax free money to purchase 2nd, 3rd, and 4th homes to rent out. I am shocked to see a purchasing agent living at a standard many times that of their managers.

Clearly, child support is nothing more than a mechanism that super-fems use to redistribute the wealth. It is time that men learn to acknowledge that fact and seek equitable treatment.

These woman clearly have a life plan of marrying a man with a good income, having 1-2 children, then divorcing and collecting the wealth. If marriage laws were equitable this would be considered contractual fraud. Such bragging should be admissible as evidence in court to support allegations of fraud on the woman’s part.
