Feminism spreads like a virus. All colleges now have womyn studies classes/programs that are allowed to pontificate to students that an invisible "patriarchy' keeps women down and fills students heads up with false 'Ms'information that is not based on empirical findings nor reviewed outside of the partisan departments that create the bullshit.
Many of these women (some men) graduate and find countless job prospects in Marketing. Acting independently (yet in a unified manner) they now have a strong hold on corporate imaging through the HR and Marketing departments. They tell the CEO's and VP's that this funny (anti-male crap) is what woman want and it will motivate them to buy the product (I say that with enough money, one could market ‘old tires’ to the masses as long as it has a "slick and hip" message behind it). But the same poeple would not offer the same anti-women marketing campaign because it would be "offensive" This is feminism in a nut shell.
This anti-male shit isn't going away boys. It is not even recognized as sexist by the vast majority of society. Political correctness has silenced dissent and men have stood around like idiots while the feminist hate mongers institutionalized contempt for men in schools, in all media and where we work while feminism maintained a "pro-woman" equality facade driven by ridiculous lawsuits that are unconstitutional and motivated soley by the redistribution of wealth by unsound means.
You guys are shoveling shit against the tide here. It’s worth the effort, but not unless a lot of people get ‘hip’ to what you are all about. The liberal feminist media and marketing departments are not going to help you out at all.
Good luck

I wholeheartedly agree that the hatred of men permeates advertising and the media in an invisible and profound manner. What we do in response to this CAN make a difference. A while back we had a thread about boy bashing stickers at an Ames store. Many of us wrote to them. I just got back an email today:
Thank you for taking the time to write to Ames. Your communication was forwarded to my attention. Feedback from our customers is very important to us.
As you might imagine, Ames was equally stunned to find that the vending machines in our stores contained stickers like you describe. These machines are contracted through an outside company and we were not aware that they contained such disturbing statements. We have immediately requested that all of these stickers be removed from the machines. This process should be completed within the next week. We will continuously follow up and monitor the situation. We sincerely apologize for this situation and truly appreciate it being bought to our attention.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Liebl
Ames, Customer Relations
These companies do care what we think. If they think that ads or products are seen as offensive they will respond. (unless of course their primary population is not affected :( ) The problem is that they assume men don't care. Each time we write to them we tell them that we do indeed care and this has a small but cumulative impact. Keep writing!

Tom:
It's fantastic to hear this! God a'mighty, I really do believe we are making a difference. It's a new and better world we're building -- because of us and those like us, there's hope for the boys being born and growing up today. Not only is Ames seeing to it that those vile, hateful, feminist stickers are removed, they seem genuinely concerned that they were ever put there. Perhaps they'll be more careful in the future and so will other businesses, as word gets around that mainstream feminist evil will no longer be suffered in silence. We ARE having an impact.
And we have only just begun. A very, very, very happy New Year!

Thanks for posting that Tom. We actually have that letter scheduled as a post from napnip (it should appear here in a couple of hours). I'm glad to see, though, that he wasn't the only one who wrote to them and not the only one to whom they responded.

Tom: I didn't write to Ames about this. (I write a number of emails in response to this sort of thing, but I don't have the time to write to every business that has a misandrist advertisement.) Anyway, I want to write to Stephanie Liebl to thank her for her concern and action. Could you post her email address here, please?
Thanks.

Hi Thomas - Stephanie Liebl's email address is
sliebl@ameshome.com
You are quite right in saying we need to thank her for her concern and action. I emailed her just after I got the response.

Well then, it quite obviously has to be either a "man's world" OR a "woman's world". It can't be both. No siree. This is the TRUTH according to Reebok (and not a few others). So let's get to it then. What are we waiting for?. Since it MUST be one or the other let's just declare war and find out once and for all who's world it is already.

Exactly, Lorianne. Did you view the screenings and the "behind the scenes" bit explaining what they were all about? The whole point of the ads is "turning the tables," as IF this IS a man's world. ;) Somebody at Reebok isn't in touch with reality, methinks.

I agree.
It's starting to crumble into a seemingly woman's world, which is sad.
To take a purely philosophical stance, the world only belongs unto itself. Human beings are, IMHO, just cogs in the wheel, a result of biological evolution and quantum-mechanical action. No matter how much you revolt against what nature and the universe dictate, you can't break free from biology, chemistry and physics. Humans are slaves to the cosmos, as is everything else in it [the universe]. Why human beings (and especially gender feminists) see themselves as superior to everything else that exists, I don't know. Perhaps it's a big old security blanket...in which case people should throw it away, for humanity's childhood will soon end.
(OK, so I sound crazy...) "Female men's activist" is not an oxymoron.

Nah, your not crazy Lady Rivka. Just demented .
Seriously though, if I remember reading from another thread, you believe in some sort of "spiritualism", don't you? I'd submit thats hard to square with materialism and empiricism.
I wouldn't put much faith in quantum mechanics, given the ol' gravity problem, and if you've kept up with Cosmology the last few years you know alot of the standard theories seem blown to hell. In short, we don't know whats up, so its a bit early to start dancing the "mental algorithm". :)
Anyways, happy New Year to all and Sundry!

Ah, yes. Superstring and such. it's jsut that quantum stuff is really intriguing to me.
As for religion, I'm agnostic with some warped ideas, raised Protestant. I don't exactly know what to make of your "spirtualism" comment. if I'm Wiccan or animist, no; if I believe in the wonders of science, yes. *G* I've read too many books for my own good, starting at age 3 and my mom's medical texts.... "Female men's activist" is not an oxymoron.
