Chicago Mother Guilty of Murdering 3 Children

from the domestic-violence dept.
Domestic Violence AFG writes "The Chicago Sun-Times ran a story about a mother who has been found guilty of murdering her 3 children. The jury in the case decided to reject her pleas of insanity, and by doing so, has allowed for her to possibly face the death penalty." The woman killed her children to "get back" at her husband, who was having an affair. Thanks also to DaveW and an Anon User for submitting this story.

Wow.

I loved when the husband talked about how his wife had made choices over the last few years. And how he mentioned a truth rarely talked about, and often denied: That we are, all of us, capable of evil acts. And that we have the responsibility to say "no".

The following is an interesting follow-up to this story. In particular, it discusses the possible gender and political related problems for the lead prosecutor if he seeks the death penalty.

It is interesting to note the diametrically opposite reactions of the husbands in the Illinois and Texas infantcide cases.

The husband of Andrea Yates of Texas still maintains that poor Andrea was not herself on that day when she murdered her 5 children. He also drones on and on about how this horror would not have happened if Andrea had gotten the medical and psychological help she needed and deserved. So in his mind it really wasn't her fault at all but the product of an insensitive medical system. Evidently, it was a bad hair day brought on by an untreated estrogen
imbalance!

The husband in the Illinois case however seems to have formulated a mature healthy attitude about the crime his ex-wife committed.

Maybe society will learn from his example. Let us hope so.

A sad fact of mainstream feminism is that in the '60's, when they ran out of legitimate issues, they turned the killing of children by mothers into "a woman's right." First it was killing unborn children by abortion. Now with NOW support of Andrea Yates, they are moving the age up to the elementary school level.

It seems that mainstream feminism has become...
...the persecution of all males
...the persecution of heterosexuality
...the total devaluation of children

Is it anything more than a lesbian hate cult run amok?
