Affirmative Action Unconstitutional in New Jersey Casinos
posted by Adam on Sunday October 14, @09:15PM
from the inequality/double-standards dept.
Inequality Breaking news just in, here's the lowdown: "A federal judge on Wednesday struck down affirmative action regulations that governed virtually every aspect of hiring in New Jersey's casinos, finding that they violate the 14th Amendment rights of white and male workers." I don't know about you, But all I can say is it's about time! this looks like it'll be the first of many cases, a small victory but in many ways a great one. Have a look at the full article to find out more.

This is, indeed, good news, and it will set a significant precedent if it survives appeal, which I suspect will come immediately.

I agree; Well Done!

I hope the influence from our southern neighbour can 'rub-off' here.

I warms my heart on an otherwise bleak day to think of the feminists who, in their fight for "equality and respect for all persons," must be going ballistic over this bit of actual equal treatment. The poor dears...

We do have to keep an eye on this, though. These same feminists are the ones who blocked the ERA in their quest for "equality."
