Fatherhood I added a new poll today, one I've been meaning to add for a while which was suggested to me by Rams. Hopefully, it will help people pause and think about their answer, and whether they're happy about it and want to change it. I know I was pretty disappointed about my own answer when I stopped to think about it.

I was sad about my answer too, Scott. But it's also true that my answer did not account for the fact that I "say" it in many non-verbal ways. I imagine the same is true for you. The question is certainly thought-provoking, but before being too hard on ourselves for not "saying" it often enough (or at all), it's helpful to also reflect on all the alternative ways that we do say it.

throughout the world is a direct consequence of the absolute pre-
dominance of the feminine principle..
Intimacy, familiarity, lack of reverence have become the dominant
themes of American life. Nothing leads more implacably to Caesarism
than these traits.... p. 286
