Indeed, no one should be forced to become a parent against his or her will. I am glad that the court re-affirmed that the father does have the right to decide whether to keep or destroy those embryos, though.
I wonder what would have happened if the mother developed a relationship with another woman and wanted to implant the embryos fertilized with the father's sperm into that woman?

That would be a politically correct double-whammy. If the father protested or the courts tried to intervene, the whole thing would be portrayed as a slap in the face not only to women's reproductive rights, but also to the lesbian lifestyle.
