May I just say, "It's about time!" I wonder what took them so long to print that letter? As for "nutty," Marc, I'm not surprised that Mr. Wilson would have that reaction. Most print editors nowadays have knee-jerk opinions based solely on their own politics, rarely bothering to research their subject before they put fingers to keyboard. And when they find out they're wrong? Well, that's just too bad because they will NEVER admit it. Part of the print editor's code nowadays, I suppose. I can tell you, it is NOT easy for an ethical journalist to find a newspaper he wants to work for nowadays.

Thanks Nightmist. All I can say is he was willing to print it but he was definitely mad about the entire thing.

Apparently, the URL for this story changes every day. Here's how to get to it by manually navigating the site:
* Go to the Pasadena Star News home page, www.pasadenastarnews.com
* In the NEWS SECTION menu, click EDITORIALS
* You'll see a new submenu under EDITORIALS. From there, click LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
* You'll see a drop-down menu at the top of the page with today's issue date in it. Change the date to June 1, 2001 (click "GO" if your browser is not JavaScript enabled)
* Marc's letter is the second on the page.
Perhaps it's a simple mistake, but I also noticed that the Star News screwed up the URL for the Martin Fiebert findings Marc mentions.
