I have no children of my own, but I do work in the education field, and see many kids each day, many of whom are products of divorce, and I must agree that we must do all we can to encourage letters like these.
The fact that there are still many divorced fathers who want to be good parents is heartening, but on the other hand, that so many of these are ignored in order to perpetuate stereotypes, is no doubt one of the great tragedies, if not THE greatest tragedy, of modern times. fritzc77

The letter to the Oklahoman could be considered a concise introductory statement on the need for a mens movement. The mens movement is served by letters like this that set the record straight; in contradistinction, the movement is not so well served by the current featured article "Mens Rights: Backlash or Movement", which lacks the clarity and forcefulness of the Oklahoman letter to the editor and which bogs itelf down with the peripheral concern of what the mens movement shouldn't be.
